I am a Sydney based Korean-Australian musician and educator, fortunate to have grown up in a multiculturally rich environment that celebrated heritage and self-expression. From a young age, my parents exposed me to the beautiful sounds of traditional Korean music and emphasised the importance of embracing my dual identity as a Korean-Australian. This invaluable support has enabled me to cultivate a unique musical identity that harmoniously blends the the two worlds through my piano and Korean traditional drumming practice.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to explore a diverse array of genres on the piano, including classical, pop, jazz, and musical theatre. My performances span both freelance engagements and roles with prestigious global productions, including Moulin Rouge, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and the Brisbane and  Sydney's return season of Hamilton.

As a Korean traditional percussionist, I specialise in the Jangu and have performed at numerous festivals and educational institutions across Sydney. Mastery of the Samulnori ensemble requires proficiency in all four traditional instruments - Kkwaenggwari, Jangu, Buk, Jing - which I have diligently studied. From 2018 to 2020, I co-founded and performed with Good & Pan, Australia's first professional Korean traditional percussion group, which was unfortunately disbanded due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, I lead a community group -- Pilbong Nongak Australia "Feel Good" -- to nurture a vibrant Korean traditional music community and inspire the next generation of Korean-Australians to connect with and proudly celebrate our cultural heritage.

I am deeply passionate about increasing the visibility of Korean traditional music and committed to educating broader audiences about its rich heritage. My goal is to present authentic Korean traditional music across Australia and contribute meaningfully to our multicultural community.

I welcome opportunities for collaboration and invite anyone interested in supporting or promoting Korean traditional music to get in touch!
