Weekly Sunday Classes

Class details

A collaboration with the local Korean traditional drumming group FeelGood, this year-round Sunday program is open to anyone interested in exploring Korean traditional music.

No prior experience is required, and instruments can be provided.

While many people are familiar with modern Korean culture, this program offers a chance to experience its traditional roots through rhythm, movement, and ensemble playing. Korean drumming is immersive and can bring people together through shared rhythm, coordination, and energy in a way that is both grounding and uplifting.

Classes focus on learning traditional rhythmic patterns, developing ensemble awareness, and building confidence through group playing. Participants will experience the unique connection that comes from playing in sync with others which is something undeniably both powerful and deeply rewarding.

This program is well suited for:

  • HSC students exploring traditional instruments

  • Korean-Australians looking to reconnect with their cultural roots

  • Families seeking a shared cultural experience

  • Adults looking for a new creative outlet
