Masterclass
Masterclass details
Masterclass sessions are designed for schools with existing Korean traditional music programs, including Samulnori ensembles, Jangu classes, and other related group or classroom settings. These sessions are best suited for students with prior experience, and are delivered as scheduled, in-depth check-ins (eg. once per term).

The session will focus on refining technique, strengthening ensemble cohesion, and deepening students' understanding of Korean traditional rhythm and musical structure. Repertoire-based work can also be explored, supporting students in developing greater confidence, precision, and musicality within the pieces they are learning.

In addition to student development, masterclasses provide an opportunity for an external specialist to offer fresh artistic perspective, identify areas for growth, and support the ongoing direction of the program. This can include reinforcing foundational skills, extending more advanced students, and offering guidance that complements classroom teaching.
